Sorry for the Hiatus
I was doing so good. I was updating the blogs roughly once a month. And then, Ugh! The kids birthdays came, Sam was not sleeping again waking up every night, then I was out of town for an entire week which takes a week prior to plan and a week after to recover and do laundry, then Jason was crazy busy at work staying there until late several nights in a row, then we remodeled the kitchen and the same week the hard drive went out on the computer! Luckily everything was backed up but it took some time to get the house back in order and for Jason to have time to replace the hard drive on the computer. So here we are. Haven't made an update in about two months. Don't worry, I won't leave anything out.

My Poor Little Man
It's nice to remember how cute and cuddly Sam is when he is feeling well. The last few months we haven't had enough of those moments. This all started Halloween night when Sam woke up in the middle of the night vomiting. He was out of day care for a week with a stomach bug. After that week he still continued to throw up for another week and a half several times a day. Most of the times when he got a little choked up or upset. Needless to say no more letting him cry a little to fall asleep. We had to start rocking him to sleep or wash his bedding every single night.
After the stomach bug his acid reflux was awful. He would wake up every night screaming. Poor baby! he wouldn't even open his eyes. He was so tired too but could not sleep. We took him to see a Pediatric GI and she was no help. She pretty much said just wait it out (easy for her to say!). In the middle of all this the ear infections started. He started antibiotics which would hurt his stomach even more. I think he ate only yogurt for weeks!!
Several weeks went by with antibiotics and changing his acid reflux medicine (thanks to his pediatrician). His ear infection was not clearing up. Amoxicillan first, then Omnicef, Augmentin, UGH! He was still not sleeping. Every night waking up. Jason and I were pretty much zombies at this point.
Took him to get an upper GI. Everything physically OK thankfully!
Next week ear infection back. His fever was up to 103 and he could hardly sit up. He looked and felt awful. Poor baby!! Started him on azithromycin. Three days later he was screaming all night, rash covered his face and stomach. By the next day his entire body was covered in hives. Allergic reaction to penicillin or azithromycin. UGH! adding something else to the list. Off antibiotics and too see the ENT.
Last week back to not sleeping. Had only slept through the night for about 10 nights since October. Ear infection back. Brings us to today. Tubes finally in his ears!!! MY POOR LITTLE MAN!! HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!!

SNOW!!!
This was the first time Sam got to go out in the snow. He didn't stay out long because he was sick and not feeling well. I don't think he was heartbroken to go back inside! it was freezing!!
Mami and Sam before going out. Poor baby this snow suit barely fit!
What is going on?! HAHA! the look on his face is priceless!

Sam's First Christmas!
Sam's first Christmas was awesome! Lots of presents, family and fun.
Sam riding the buggy for the day care Christmas program. Little Santa on the front!!
We went to Lucia, Pat and Izzy's. I wanted to get a family picture but with tow kids it was harder than I thought! Natalie was crazy and Sam didn't know what to think about the commotion! This was the last time SAm got to wear this cute outfit. With all the craziness and trash that comes from Christmas I think I accidentally threw away his polo and shoes. I left them in a paper bag that we brought from Lucia's and didn't realize they were still in there when I was cleaning up! BOO!

He LOVES the camera!
Christmas morning!
Figuring out what this is?!
His favorite gift of all. Who wouldn't love a big dump truck that makes lots of noise! he loves to sit in it and ride it!

Mami and Papi's gift to the kids. A cleaned up area in the basement (hard to do!), toys, new train table, tv and more toys!. We tried to put posters up but they fell off. Need to figure out something else.
Little Santa at Tita's.

At Papaw and Mamaw's. Sam loved playing with all their snow globes. Just like Natalie!
The kids with Mamaw Lyvers.
Natalie and Santa. HAHA! She loved this!

Sam's Favortite Foods
Sam LOVES spaghetti (what kid doesn't!) but the one time he ate it he was up screaming at night because of his acid reflux. We learned our lesson! so now he gets plain noodles. No worries, he loves them too! Other foods he loves: YOGURT, YOGURT, YOGURT! fruit, and crackers. I think those are the only foods that I can always count on him eating. All others are hit or miss. Some days he eats a ton and then the next day he might not want it anywhere near his mouth. What a baby!
